She carefully views the Christmas treelooking for where the ornament might go best.
She holds it to her when someone offers to take it for her,
'No' the one word she knew the best is spoken quietly but forcefully.
She finds the perfect spot and after trying her hand at putting it up quickly
hands it to someone pointing to the right spot...
"There," He said, "That is exactly where I want her to be."

But still we think of where we could have been, what we could have been, how we could have looked.

"No," He says, "This is where I want you. This is what your supposed to be, this is how you are supposed to look. And I love you."

Thanks

Alright - I am finally starting to do my list. I apologize to all of you for how long it's taken me to actually sit down and do it. So here it is. My thanks...

1. Delicious meals that are brought by loving friends.
2. Beautiful decorations around the whole entire house.
3. Hearing Papa walking around upstairs.
4. Watching Papa and Mom laugh so hard at simply quoting Tim Conway and Harvey Korman.
5. Looking at ornaments and remembering silly storyies that occured when we bought them or when we hung them.
6. The way the light shines through the nativity on our breakfront.
7. To sit with my family and watch Christmas movies.
8. The looks on Mary and Joseph's faces as they look at their newborn child.
9. Beautifully illustrated Christmas books.
10. All my family.
11. Eating oranges, apple slices, crackers, cheese balls, popcorn, and drinking eggnog on Sunday nights.
12. Cold winter days.
13. Walks with Papa on cold afternoons.
14. Chistmas music.
15. Books that are not possible to put down until they're over.
16. Papa crying when he thinks about the miraculous fact that he is still alive.
So I will end my thank you list, even though the list will never end!
